Inspired by the life and vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, our Trust was born out of a deep desire to carry forward his dream — a dream where every child, no matter their background, has the right to learn, grow, and shine.Dr. Kalam, a simple boy from Rameswaram who rose to become the “People’s President” of India, showed us that with education, hard work, and strong values, even the most ordinary can achieve the extraordinary. His life lit a spark in millions of young hearts — including ours.As children, we looked up to him not just as a great scientist or leader, but as a true role model who believed in us. He always said, “Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action.” These words continue to echo in our mission.The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Educational and Social Welfare Trust is our tribute to his vision. Through this trust, we aim to empower the underprivileged with knowledge, confidence, and opportunities — to build a better future, one child at a time.

In June 2019, under the visionary leadership of Thiru S. Kumaresan, the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Educational and Social Welfare Trust established the Janaki Ammal Institute of Education (JAIE) in Mudichur, near Tambaram — a transformative rural Kalvi Maiyam (Education Centre) dedicated to nurturing young minds.This centre empowers children through quality foundational education and life-enhancing skills, helping them grow with confidence, knowledge, and a sense of purpose.More than just a school, this initiative reflects the trust’s core mission — to bridge the educational divide and transform every child into a beacon of hope, curiosity, and potential
